“For the majority of my life, I carried my own burdens and it weighted me down, but life has new meaning for me since I cast all of my burdens upon God-and  I mean all.  It’s not always easy, but it is a necessity.  When we try to do things on our own, God will allow us to.  I can just see God sitting on the throne watching us cry, struggle and fail at our experiences in life.  I bet He’s thinking if they would just have faith and believe in my Word I would give them rest. First  Peter 5:7 tells us to – cast our burdens on Him because He cares for us.” ~  Touch Down from Heaven in the Huddle with Felecia Young

An Excerpt from Ms. Baker’s Post

My mother, Christine Baker, taught me my brain is the most powerful thing I have and I can do anything I put my mind to with God on my side. When Calena started going through the group of books photographed, she read the inscriptions. She was shocked that I knew all the authors, and that they left me a sweet note. This encouraged her to encourage me about my projects. They became more realistic to her and she is grateful that she is my #1 motivation. The same is said about my sons when they were little.

One day I will have an opportunity to share some of the wisdom that people have imparted to me and simply thank them.  However, I didn’t want another day to go by without thanking Momma Young, Felicia Young.  Her, prayers, support, ministry and wisdom has been a blessing in my life since the day we met. She purchased tickets to see Dr Maya Angelou in 2009 and we have been inseparable since. She has blessed many women in the Here and Now program that I created several years ago and shared her life story.

The time and distance never interferes. Her book, Touch Down from Heaven In the Huddle with Felicia Young is filled with spiritual wisdom. Her testimony has saved thousands of souls ❤️.  She calls me daughter which only something she and aunt Claudette Dia Taylor can do.  During this time of Covid-19, maybe you need to reach out to say thank you to someone who has inspired or encouraged you. ~ Leona Baker
